Northbrook Bank & Trust Company has implemented a recycling initiative for old dry cell batteries, cell phones, and crayons. Members of the community can deposit these items into canisters found in the main lobby of each bank, 1100 Waukegan Road and 875 Sanders Road, Northbrook, Ill. 60062. Read more.

Transaction Account Guarantee Program Notice
Northbrook Bank & Trust Company is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2009, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
